November’s Volunteer of the Month

Celebrating November’s Volunteer of the Month: Dinara Ermakova!

Dinara has worked closely with us in 2023 including speaking at our Nuclear Energy Symposium in NYC. Her contributions this month have stood out even more! She took the lead in an Atomic Ambassador meeting, where she shared her inspiring journey into the U.S. nuclear industry as a Kazakh national, offering valuable insights for those in similar circumstances. She also has been indispensable in our COP28 preparations by coordinating a panel on recommissioning coal sites. We can’t wait to go to work with her in Dubai!

To learn more about Dinara take a look at her Q&A below!

Q: When did you first get into nuclear advocacy and why?

A: “When I started my PhD in the US.”

Q: What has been one of your favorite moments while being a nuclear advocate?

A: “Being able to share knowledge, my own story with general public at various events.”

Q: What hopes do you have for the future of nuclear energy?

A: “Nuclear power generation can be a great tool for developing countries to catch up with economic development while avoiding the carbon emissions and polluting the environment.”

Thank you to Dinara and all our awesome volunteers!
