Be part of a worldwide network of nuclear energy enthusiasts and advocate for nuclear's important role in our energy future
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
Nuclear is the most misunderstood energy source in the world. Despite being among the safest, cleanest, and most reliable it is often discriminated against or feared. We are changing this by building a network of nuclear energy enthusiasts and advocates who want to represent nuclear in their communities and beyond. Through a training that upgrades your ability to communicate and find advocacy opportunities we will help you become a more skillful advocate.
The Building Bridges Project is an initiative to increase positive representation for nuclear energy at events and conferences
We are building a network of volunteers, and supporting them with training and covering expensive conference registration fees so ambassadors can advocate, network, and articulate the importance of nuclear power to a new audience.
Who Should join?
Our Atomic Ambassadors come from many walks of life. We have nuclear engineering students, nonprofit executives, and many other grassroots nuclear enthusiasts.
What they all share in common is an passion about nuclear energy and a desire to speak out about it!
Does this sound like you?
What are the commitments?
- Begin with three training sessions to help you tell your story and develop your advocacy skills.
- Attend occasional Atomic Ambassador meetings to discuss advocacy actions and other training topics like responding to objections, and networking strategies. (about two meetings per month)
- Willingness to seek out and participate in opportunities where you and educate/advocate/represent nuclear energy
- Willingness to participate in occasional content creation (testimonies, video clips, etc)
